Inspection Tags!

How to Complete the Inspection Tag!

In my many travels across Western Canada, I've seen many examples of poor paperwork and improperly completed tags. One of my biggest pet peeves (besides not having a nice digital camera ready to hand) is the technician that won't complete the re-inspection date on the tag properly. He'll fill out the month and the year, but not the day. I can't imagine what might be going through his head as he does this. I can only surmise that it must be some "directive" from a "higher power" (read paycheque writer).

Here are a few examples of what I mean:

ASTTBC requires that all tags on fire protection equipment be properly completed. This means that the date for re-inspection must be clearly identified and this includes the DAY of the inspection, ladies & gentlemen! You can read more about how the tag should be completed HERE!
