CFAA HAS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR!

Toronto, Ontario - April 8th, 2013 marked the first day on the job for Mr. Steve Clemens, the new Executive Director for the Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA).  We extend our sincere congratulations to Steve on his appointment and wish him well.  For more information, you can visit the CFAA website!

MORE SPRINKLER HEAD RECALLS!

UL and ULC have issued a new bulletin affecting side-wall sprinkler heads manufactured by Tyco.  Apparently they sport bogus UL/ULC labelling.  Click the link to our Bulletins page for more information.  Now would be a good time to consider subscribing to our live RSS feed (click on the burning RSS link above).

AMENDED FIRE ALARM VERIFICATION APPENDIX “C” FORMS!

Vancouver, British Columbia - In case you missed it, we’ve published a new CAN/ULC-S537-04 (Standard for Verification of Fire Alarm Systems) Appendix “C” form to our library.   It has been amended to reflect the changes and new requirements introduced in CAN/ULC-S524-06 (Standard for Installation of Fire Alarm Systems).  Both of these Standards are now referenced by the National Building Code (NBC) 2010 which has been adopted by all Provincial and Territorial jurisdictions in Canada.  As always, please ensure you read our Terms of Use before you start using our forms.  Please consult with your local jurisdictional authority as well.  They may have additional requirements or may have made some other changes to the form example provided in the referenced Standard for use in their particular jurisdiction.
