UNITED TECHNOLOGIES CORP. (UTC) ANNOUNCES MAJOR RESTRUCTURING!

Hartford, Connecticut - The name of the new conglomerate is UTC Climate, Controls and Security Systems and heralds a new integrated partnership between its fire and security businesses (Chubb-Edwards) and the Carrier Heating and Cooling division. The goal is to provide a seamless "full service" approach for their customers and follows a growing trend towards combining such technology based expertise. Tyco and Siemens are also undergoing significant restructuring along a similar model.

 

SMOKE AND CO ALARM RECYCLING CENTRE OPENS!

British Columbia - October 1st marked the start of a new province wide recycling program for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. It's an initiative launched by the non-profit Product Care Association. You can find out more by visiting their website at www.alarmrecycle.ca!
