ISOLATOR INSTALLATION, SERVICE & TESTING EXPLAINED

Vancouver, British Columbia - In case you missed it last month, we released our Special Report on Isolator Installation, Service, and Testing!

ASTTBC IN THE NEWS!

Surrey, British Columbia - Three significant items we dug up recently haven’t quite made it into June’s ASTTBC e-News (hopefully we’ll get some more insight in the upcoming July issue).

First there’s the the Verification Discipline.  The registration program for Verifications is “on hold” pending some additional input (guidelines and forms).

Then there’s Prince George, who, as it turns out, isn’t quite the bridegroom we were expecting.  It seems a few rule additions inserted into the Bylaw by the City Council have left the certification committee at ASTTBC a bit shell-shocked.  Read all about it in the open letter originally published to the City’s website.

Lastly, the fire equipment service community in the Lower Mainland received the news that ASTTBC’s Fire Protection Certification Board Chair, Dale Maranda of Metro Vent Cleaning Services, was murdered on May 18, 2014.  Dale has been a powerful motivational force behind ASTTBC’s Fire Protection Program since Day One.  His service and dedication are an example for us all.  His tragic and untimely death has sent shock-waves through the community of Tsawwassen (where he lived) and left a huge pair of shoes to fill.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, colleagues and associates.
