IF YOU'RE USING SYMANTEC'S PCANYWHERE, READ THIS!

Symantec (Norton) has fallen victim to a group of computer hackers that call themselves "Anonymous". Apparently source code from the 2006 versions of several Symatec software security products was stolen exposing vulnerabilities in Norton SystemWorks, Norton Internet Security, Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition and Symantec's pcAnywhere. While later editions of these programs are no longer at risk, Symantec has expressed concerns regarding possible vulnerabilities in pcAnywhere 12.5 and suggests that you apply all currently available patches and, if possible, DISABLE this product until they have addressed all the issues. You can read more about this in a recent white paper they released.
