Becoming A Fire Technician

Post by firefight » Tue Aug 17, 2010 9:05

Hey guys, I plan on taking the fire systems engineering technician program at Fleming!
Anyone have any experience with this program?
Was it tough finding a job upon graduation?
Would I need an additional training or courses afterwards?

Thanks!

You've chosen an excellent career path. With all of the Provinces now MANDATING annual fire equipment testing, one thing's for certain: You won't lack for work! :D

The biggest stumbling block will be to find a service provider that's willing to take on a trainee individual with little or no experience and no certification. Fleming looks to offer career placement help. This means they must have access to companies interested in just that.

Best of luck!! Feel free to call/email with any questions or concerns.
